Squelette Default License

This license applies to all projects purchased on the Squelette Marketplace, unless the seller explicitly provides an alternative license. By purchasing a project on Squelette, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Grant of License

The Single-Use License grants you, the purchaser, a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the purchased project under the following conditions:

  • You may use the project to create one single End Product for yourself or for one client (a "single application").
  • The End Product can be distributed for free but cannot be resold, sublicensed, or used as a basis for creating derivative products intended for resale or redistribution.
  • The "End Product" refers to the final customized version/implementation of the purchased project that you will use or deliver to a client.

This license does not transfer ownership of the purchased project. The original creator retains all rights not explicitly granted under this license.

In other words...

  • You may only use a purchased project for one client or one business.
  • If you need to use it for another client or project, you must purchase another license.
  • You may modify the project in any way (e.g., adding, altering, or removing code, design elements, content, features, etc.), but the modified version is still subject to this license.

2. Permitted Uses

  • âś… One End Product: You may create one final implementation of the project for a personal or commercial purpose.
  • âś… Client Work: You may modify the project and deliver the End Product to a client. Once transferred, you cannot reuse the same project for another client or project.
  • âś… Modifications: You may alter, customize, and extend the purchased project as needed.
  • âś… Private Hosting: You may host the End Product on your own servers, a third-party service, or a client’s infrastructure.
  • âś… Multiple Licenses: If you wish to use the purchased project for another client, business, or project, you must purchase an additional license.

In other words...

You may create one customized version of the purchased project and use it or sell it to one client. You may modify it as needed, but you must purchase a new license for each new project or client.

3. Prohibited Uses

  • ❌ No Resale or Redistribution: You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, or share the purchased project, whether in its original or modified form.
  • ❌ No Multi-Client Use: You may not use the same purchased project for multiple clients or projects without purchasing additional licenses.
  • ❌ No Reselling as a Standalone Product: You may not use the project to create products that are meant to be resold as standalone items.
  • ❌ No Component Extraction: You may not extract parts of the project (e.g., UI elements, scripts, styles, logic) for use outside of the licensed End Product.
  • ❌ No Unauthorized Client Actions: If you sell or transfer an End Product to a client, the client cannot resell, redistribute, or extract parts of it for reuse.

In other words...

You cannot resell, share, or reuse a purchased project beyond the scope of a single End Product. Even if you modify it, the restrictions remain.

4. Rights and Responsibilities of the Original Creator

By default, the creator (seller) of the project retains full ownership and can sell it multiple times, unless they specify a different license (such as an exclusive one-time sale). The following rules apply:

  • Full Ownership: The creator retains copyright and all intellectual property rights over the project.
  • Unlimited Sales: The creator may sell the project to multiple buyers unless they offer an exclusive license, in which case they must honor the exclusivity terms.
  • Customization: The creator may update or improve the project at their discretion, but past buyers do not automatically receive those updates.
  • Licensing Control: The creator may choose to apply a custom license to their project, replacing this default license.
  • No Obligation for Support: Unless explicitly stated, purchasing a project does not entitle the buyer to future updates, technical support, or custom modifications from the creator.

In other words...

The seller always owns their project and may continue selling it as many times as they wish, unless they opt for a special "exclusive sale" model. Buyers receive a license to use it once, but do not own the project itself.

  • The original creator of the project retains full ownership of the project and grants you a license only under the terms of this agreement.
  • This license does not give you copyright ownership or allow you to claim authorship of the purchased project.
  • Squelette is a marketplace and does not own or license projects—all transactions and licenses are between buyers and sellers.
  • If you violate this license, the original creator may take legal action, and Squelette reserves the right to suspend your account and restrict access to the marketplace.
